Last Monday morning at 11:30, around 350 business partners, clients and employees gathered in the Chilehaus building to congratulate Harald Baum on 50 years of service at Pantaenius, with Harald blissfully unaware. His family had organised a surprise party for the 72 year old that remained a secret right up until the end.

This year a fleet of 35 sailing yachts participated in the St Barths Bucket. The biggest attraction were the 5 J boats; who started racing a day before the rest of the fleet. Only the Js had their own fleet start on every race day. It was a spectacular sight, seeing these huge yachts meeting each other on the start line in the last few seconds before the race start.

Every year at Whitsun around 1500 yachtsmen and several tourists gather at Heligoland to be part of the “Nordseewoche“ event. The Nordseewoche is one of the major yacht racing events in Germany, hosting the only German offshore race series. Pantaenius is a sponsor of the Pantaenius Rund Skagen Race which takes place every second year during the Nordseewoche event.
